Miriam Lea is a dancer, choreographer, and instructor in Argentine Tango, including tango as a performing art and social dance. Her passion and impressive dancing skills have entertained and enhanced people’s lives worldwide. Through Miriam Lea dance studio in Minneapolis, her students can benefit from exceptional, personalized dance classes.

Miriam Lea has performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the US and Argentina and worked for government and universities, such as the City of Chicago, City of Buenos Aires, Indiana University, University of California, University of Minneapolis, University of St. Thomas, to name a few.

Her driving performances took her to be featured in theatre, television shows, and news broadcasts. She has shared the stage with renowned Tango and the Arts stars in venues like the Teatro Alvear, Teatro Astral, Teatro Empire, Teatro Coliseo, and North and South America. She has performed for major brands like Nike, Adidas, Allstate Insurance, and Heineken, as well as participated in the cast of Major International Tango Festivals such as ATUSA San Francisco, Boston Tango Festival, and Tango Maya Festival, Cancun, MX.

Graduated in Fine Arts and Music from Columbia College in Chicago in ’04; Miriam also attended her Master’s Degree studies in Art Education at Indiana University, certifications from the Nueva Escuela de Educacion Fisica in Argentina, NASM in the USA, and NLSC as an interpreter. She is also a gifted trained musician who continues to arrange and record Music with her band-mates from USA and Argentina.

Miriam is highly appreciated for her technical and precise teaching approach, captivating performing style, and versatility and work ethic in the dance industry. She continues to perform and provide enhanced tango dancing classes to students of all levels, from the first-time dancer to seasoned artists, as well as providing choreography for professional performances.
